VAL
O'DEA
Physical Therapist
Val is a native of Chicago, where she grew up swimming competitively from age 11 through college, and working as a summer lifeguard on Lake Michigan. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University, her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois, and her master's degree in Rehabilitation Services Administration from DePaul University, all in Chicago.
Val has been a practicing PT since 1986 in various clinical settings, including Level 1 Trauma Centers, Neurological Rehab, Geriatric Rehab, and Home Health Care.
She has spent the last 20 years in home health care, treating medically complex and post-op orthopedic patients. Val is especially excited to combine her love for the water with her love for the physical therapy profession by practicing aquatic PT, so her patients can get back to doing what’s important to them.
When not working, Val enjoys spending time with her husband and four grown children. She enjoys working out, meeting people, writing, volunteering, snuggling her golden retrievers, and making soap. Since recently moving to Kernersville, she has been having fun exploring and learning the history of the great state of North Carolina.
