Jackie graduated from the University of Georgia with her bachelor's degree in exercise science. While at UGA, she also ran cross-country and track became the team captain of the woman's tracks team, and receive the Marilyn Vincent Scholar-Athlete Award.

Then she went on to the Medical College of Georgia where she earned her master's degree in physical therapy. She has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and has transferred these land base Physical Therapy skills to the water.

In her free time, Jackie enjoys running and spending time with her friends and family including her husband and three children.
