Christy attended Ohio University and graduated from their physical therapy program as a licensed physical therapist. Along with aquatic therapy, Christy has worked in outpatient orthopedics, in a spine center, and as a home health physical therapist.

Christy was engaged in water sports from a young age, taught swimming lessons, was a lifeguard and swam competitively through high school. She enjoys snow skiing, snorkeling, sailing, occasional scuba diving, and travel.

Christy has been a resident of Sandy Springs since 2002.
